Several populated areas and a camp for refugees and internally displaced people were attacked by terrorists in northeastern Nigeria on January 30 and 31, resulting in more than 80 deaths and the burning of the village of Dalori.
According to the Russian Embassy in Nigeria, there were no Russian nationals among the victims.
We resolutely condemn this bloody attack against peaceful civilians, which the Nigerian authorities blame on Boko Haram, an extremist group affiliated with the Islamic State.
We express solidarity with Nigeria’s people and government and convey our sincere condolences to the families of the deceased. We wish the injured a speedy recovery and again urge the international community to focus on coordinated efforts in the fight against the international terrorist threat.
